AC leaking inside under passenger side
I've checked the drain for blockage and its clear. Wondering if I'm looking at a low freon level as it seems to quit working when the outside temp is high or when I'm just city driving, also there is no water coming from the drain.
Between a full system and a low system, as it leaks down, there is a period of time there where the condenser is likely to freeze up solid caked in ice and then air stops moving cause it can't get through, then you cut it off and ice melts .... for awhile.
I have a white 04 F150, I love the truck completely but I am having problems with it. My AC is leaking into the floor panel on my passenger side. The rear suiside door onthe passenger side has something ratteling in it. I think it may be that the speaker has come undone.? Can any on help?
I will go with the plug or disconnected ac drain hose that runs under the passenger side (look at both ends) , also R134a thats the refrigerant that is use on modern vehicles does not have any color and it will vanish in the air , if you have color that's a dye (after market) to detect leaks , refrigerant is good forever it doesnt wear out if you ever need a refill you have a leak somewhere , Im a HVAC tech and some AC units in the market are still running refrigerant from 1942 in it no need to change or add if there is not a leak .
You could also have a coolent leak but that will be in the winter time when you use the heater , it will be coming down from the heater core behind the firewall .
