Front License Plate Frame Question

Is it easy to remove the front licence plate frame holder? I noticed that the brackets goes in between the top and lower portion of the bumper (like its mounted inside somehow). Have any of you had the frame purchased from the deal and removed yourselves?

If so, let me know if it was easy or not. I feel like taking mine off!

It comes off rather easily, if you do a search you will find a few posts where they describe how to take it off. If you dont want to keep it, just yank it off and if it breaks whocares.

I took mine off.

It has 2 snap type connectors on the top, and the bottom just slides right out.

Just pull on the top part, and it should come right out.

The front plate is very easy to remove. I took mine off last weekend. Use a flat head screwdriver to help lift up the top tabs while pushing the plate backwards. Now that the top of the plate is free, just pull and the bottom tabs will come out. Should only take a couple minutes.

Im bringing it into the dealer for them to look at it before they can tell me if they'll replace it. Although they'll have a list of things to do anyways.

It comes off TOO EASILY...

While we don't have front state license plates here in Kentucky, I can certainly see how license plate theft could be a problem.

Before I get flamed here for making such a comment, let it be known that I'm not griping, boo-hooing, bitching, or other... I'm simply making a statement.

Seeing what you guys did to the folks that brought up Key Fob errosion and a few others, I thought I should say that up front...

I just now tried to take off my front liscence plate. The top two clips came off easily but after pulling plenty hard the3 bottom ones aren't budging! What the heck? I can pull harder but I am pretty sure they are going to break. Are you sure brute force is the answer to how to take it off?

Well, I got it off (broke the bottom receivers like I was afraid I would) and then also found out there is a small dent in my bumper! Maybe it is a defect from factory.

Is it the middle of the bumper? not a circular dent, but rather a linear dent? If so this could be wierd!
