Dark Shadow Gray vs Oxford White
#16
I like both...but coming from a White Tundra, I bought a DSG FX4 and love it. Got my first door ding when I went snowboarding a couple weeks ago (PI$$$$ED)!
Anyhow, I noticed with white...if you dont maintain, you can see staining up close and getting it off is a drag (this is over time of course and a very faint stain at that, but very noticeable when up close).
DSG on the other hand...looks good period! You do have to clean it a lot, but hey...its a truck, its gotta look somewhat rugged. One thing I do notice is my door ding...though its small, you can see it. If it was white, it might be invisible...sort of.
I chose DSG cuz its the color I wanted anyhow...not to mention, it was the last one on the lost with $8000 rebate.
Good luck! Both are nice...its all preference. Oh, on a hot day, white stays much cooler.

Look at both.
I bought mine because the Gray was so nice looking.
Then, after I found out how fun it is to keep it clean, I started wishing I had gone with white. Then my father in law bought this one.
Now I'm glad I bought the the Gray one. The white is ok, but it does still get dirty, and doesn't look half as good clean as the Gray. Plus, everybody and their brother has a white truck. Makes it look to much like a "company" vehicle.
Just love this truck!
Oh yeah, the dark stays warmer in the winter. (Like it matters.)

Here's a dirty DSG... I think it hides dirt fairly well. Not as good white, but not bad...

Best of both...
Get the best of both worlds like I did, oxford white over dark shadow grey! White upper color stays cool and stays cleaner looking longer than other colors, grey lower color doesn't show dirt and splashes like solid white or other light colors. Plus the two-tone look is really sharp. Of course, your mileage may vary.

Hey there crowd. Maybe a little late on this if you already bought the vehicle, but my vote is DSG.
I've had mine for 2 weeks now and I think it covers dirt pretty well, and is much more exciting than white (no harm intended to those white truck people out there).
I live in Murrieta California which has more construction going on and more dust than any other place in the nation. I don't even see the dust on my truck. Don't have to wash it nearly as much as my wife's dark blue Yukon.
Go for the gray, go for the excitement.

I have black and tho it's the most bad *** looking color when clean, it's only clean for 1 hr after washing it.
I really wanted a FX4 with the white/dsg two-tone. I'd pick white over the dsg just for ease of cleaning. I personally also like how the gray and black trim compliments white.
My vote is 2 tone, or just all white.

I went with the white because it was one of the few colors you could get mono-tone and I wanted the black interior. "I didn't like the two tone option on the Lariat" The white is by no means easy to keep clean. When I hand wash it it's very easy to notice every little spec of dirt and I drive myself crazy trying to get it clean. But IT is harder to notice paint chips on white. But I did have a 2002 Bright Red FX4 and I think the it was easier to keep looking clean. If I could have got the Bright Red in a Lariat I were have done it a heart beat. But the white does look sharp when it's all cleaned up and the wheels are dressed. Good Luck!
