FNG Checking In...

Hello all,

Figured I'd introduce myself as I plan on being around for a while.

I have been reading this forum for about the last month and decided to sign up.

I was driving a 2002 Super Duty 7.3 with all the goodies and loved the truck and the power. It was getting time for a new ride and the '02 seemed to be having some issues that the local Ford deaer was happy to charge me to fix (out of warranty) but seemed unable to realy fix the problem (hot starting). So being mad @ Ford (pissed) I set out to find a new truck. Drove the Chev, nice power, ****ty interior and out dated design..fail. I drove the Dodge, kinda hot on the look and the Hemi power was OK but the ride and interior turned me off..fail. I looked at and drove the '05 SD with the 6.0 turbo diesel and was OK with it until I saw the window sticker.....$48,000!!! My '02 Lariat window sticker loaded was only $38,000 and I paid $33,000 and change off the lot. On my last outing I spotted a '05 SCAB and decided to test drive, I can live with the looks as they are now similar to the SD, I love the interior and the ride just wish the 5.4 had more giddy-up-go like the chipped diesel.

Well, to make a long story short, I picked up my '05 Lariat SCAB last night, price was a helluva lot lower that the SD diesel and left me some $$ for mods.

Hottexhaust shipped my magnaflow system on Monday and my Airaid is on it's way from John at socamotorsports.com ($20.00 off advertised price if you mention being a member of f150onine and free shipping). I spoke with Anita @ Troyers and have some other mods in the works.

If you have some suggestions for additional power, I'm all ears...

Will be starting a gallery with pics in the next few days, I love reading the other members galleries and looking at thier mods.

Thanks for having a great board.

Well, "61" is my lucky number (I'm not lying either!) so in my opinion, there can be no doubt that it's going to be a great truck for you!
