got my letter last week. so does this mean that if my tires wear out before 3/36k than it would be considered "execessive" wear and ford will give me new tires for free? if so, tha'ts a helluva warranty for tires!

Tire Warranty ?

Has anyone else received a letter from Ford stating that there warranty on there tires for abnormal wear & rough ride was being extended to 3 yrs. / 36 K miles? Could this have anything to do with some of the vibration issues. I had a problem with the continental tires that came with my truck and the local dealer made me pay $40 per to upgrade them to Michelin. Maybe with this letter I can get my money back. Yeh right.

That was $160 well spent in my opinion.

Be patient guys... I'm almost certain that this applies to ALL 2004/2005's.

Got a letter from Ford - Tires

Last night I got a letter from Ford stating that they are extending the warranty on my BF Goodrich tires from 12/12K to 36/36K. They also enclosed a sticker that goes into the owners manual to update that section. The warranty covers vibrations and such.

Sounds like this is connected to the vibration issues people are having?

My truck just clicked over 7,000 miles and she is absolutely FLAWLESS - no vibes here!

I got a letter a few days ago can I start another thread? There are already 20 on the subject.
Everyone who purchased a 2004/2005 will get the letter so maybe another million posts on the subject...

this is good news in general. this makes the tire makers accountable for what they sell us.

I think Ford learned something from that Firestone fiasco.
