High Beams and fogs same time
High Beams and fogs same time
I dont remember where I read how to do this, but it works...
To run the High beams and fog light s at same time is very easy.. only take a couple of wire lugs and a shot piece of wire.
Go to passengers side floorboard and remove the kick panel to gain access to the fuse box. I had to use a flat head screwdriver to push in the little hole on the fuse box cover to remove it. Look at the fuse box cover and find fuse R202... I think it just says 202.. its in the top middle... then crawl down there and remove the fuse.. The fuse has 4 or 5 pins on it, all labled 1, 2, 3.... You need to bend pin 1 over and to the side of the fuse... You dont want pin 1 to plug back in to the hole... after pin one is bent over, attach a wire lug to it and a short piece of wire... then ground the wire to the frame somewhere... I found a small hole in a metal bar and grounded the wire to it. Thats it.. your done... now high beams and fogs can be run at the same time. I also had to trim a little piece of plastic out of the fuse box to allow clearance for the bent pin to slide in...
P.S. I checked at the ford dealership to see how much the relay/fuse cost... $12.01 plus tax..... Useless info unless you break the pin.
Sound confusing... but its really easy. Good Luck

this is a great and easy mod. i did this earlier today. took about a half hour. if you pull the whole kick panel off, not just the cover, there is a green ground bolt right there beneath the fuse panel. it already has ground wires running to it. i used that bolt to ground the relay. having the high beams and the fogs on really makes a difference.
