OvalNuts you must have done it wrong, you need to re-check your work because HHIFX4 has a 04 FX4 and it worked for him.

DO ALL TRUCKS HAVE THE SECOND R202 IN THE ENGINE BAY? WHEN I WAS DONE I HAD NO FOGS, THEN AFTER UNDOING WIRE AND STRAIGHTENING PIN 1 BACK PUT R202 BACK IN AND STILL NO FOGS. HAD TO GET NEW 202.

If you straightened the pin back and it didn’t work maybe it broke inside when you bent it and it lost its ground altogether. Just a thought

I am the one that originally posted this

It does work, and it works on all 2004 models with foglights. If you can't get it to work you are doing something wrong. I'm pretty sure its the same for 2005 models.

BTW, thats a relay, not a fuse.

different way of doing it.

Heres how I did mine.

pulled the relay and soldered on a wire on the #1 lug as close to the top as I could.
I then took some electrical tape and cut it to cover the spade on conector making sure I could not see any metal
I then reinstalled the relay and hooked the other end wire to the grounding lug below the fuse box.

You may not have to use the electrical tape on the relay I just did that trying to stop a back feed.

took me less then 30 min and works fine.

This is by FAR the best mod I have made to my truck so far. Plus, it was 100% free. Cant beat that.

Had to drive some back roads coming home couple of days ago, it looked like daylight infront of my truck.

In most states it is illegal to have fogs and high beams on at the same time. This is why the fogs go off when you flip the high beams on.

We all know it's illegal. But,I dont run high beams in people's faces. So nobody should ever really know. Unless there is a cop on the side of the the road and he sees me. O well, its worth the risk to me.

If I got a ticket, I would just take it to court and say "Its impossible to run high beams and fogs at the same time" after I set it back to stock.

That sounds like a good idea. You’re right, I don’t think you even have to use the electric tape because it's only a ground to start with (nothing to back feed)

That or just know the judges... (Moore, Calvert, etc.. ). I know both personally.

Access the fuse box and find fuse R202 (top middle) Remove the fuse, bend pin 1 over to the side, and attach a wire lug and wire. Ground the wire, that's it

Now the high beams and fogs can be on at the same time

pin #1 is clearly marked

there's power to the female side of the pin, it has to be insulated or it will ground out.
