XM antenna location

I asked this before and got two great responses. Any opinions as to the best place to put it. I am bringing it to a stereo place to have it installed.

Mine is right in front of the third brake light but I like RP's idea to put in under the wiper cowl.

Antenna Location

I put mine on the dash in front of the tray that is there and ran the antenna wire under the try and out the side of the center face plate where the radio and heater controls are.

Mine is sitting on top, drivers side. Wiring runs perfect along side grove.

thanks for the pics gotta look into the cowl option. The roof looks good too but worried that it might leak how did you seal it.

Hey Drk...

Is that just on your dash?

I was exploring this option with my Delphi MyFi and wasn't sure I'd be able to get decent reception.

Any problems to report? You have it up there with velcro or something?

Thanks!

Located mine under the wiper cowl on the passenger side.
You can route the antenna lead through the firewall on the drivers
side where the emergency brake wire goes through. There's a rubber gorment there that can easily be removed. Insert the antenna lead through the gorment them push it all back into place.

If it evers gets nice here again, I'll take some pictures and post.
I have two pictures of where I mounted the XM here:

eh? Mines on top of the hood. It's magnetic. I'm running Sirius so it's going to a Kenwood receiver that's behind my HU.

Your hood is aluminum though?...

I still can't seem to get the vantage of where you took that picture...
