Floor mats.

Santa brought me a VERY nice gift. A Gift Certificate for Cabela's.

My questions are for the guys that have floor mats. I think I like the X-treme Catch-All floormats, but I have heard others talk about Husky's.

PEople with mats.... Post pros and cons about color, fit, durability, ease of washing...ect...

Thx Keith.

I think I'm probably one of the very few who feel this way, but I purchased the Nifty Catch-All's, and sent them back because I didn't like the fit. In the front, there were 2" gaps between the mats and the center hump. It's as if the edges of the mats were too vertical, and wouldn't lean against the hump. And no, it wasn't a matter of me not properly positioning them or securing them... On the other hand, I read a thread where someone said it happened to him also, but they eventually conformed to the countour of the hump, it just took a few weeks. Being the impatient person I am, I didn't wait more then 4 days before deciding to return them.

Best of luck deciding...

I have the Nifty Catch-all extremes in the front of my Scab because I saw some pics of the carpeted catch-alls and the driver side looked quite worn as would be expected after some time. I'm sure the extremes will wear better because of the material they are made of. The fit of the extremes is excellent, but, unlike bamorris, I have the flow through console so mine are two pieces.

I have the catch-all carpeted in the rear because they will see very little wear compared to the front.

One thing I would check on if you decide to get these is the rear mat does'nt really cover as far under the seat as I would like it to and not having the audiophile amp they could extend farther. I wonder if I had ordered the ones for the Screw if they would have covered more room under the seat. Of course this only applies if you have the Scab.

The Nifty mats are top notch in my book. Hope this helps.

Mike

After posting, I see you have a regular cab, so most of my post does'nt apply to you but I will leave it as is for someone who has a Scab.

I faced the same dilemma when I was looking. I went with the Husky for 2 reasons.

1. The Husky liners are very easy to remove and clean. Pull out...hose down...re-install. From what I understood about the Extreme's...there is a self tapping plastic screw that you have to twist down into your carpet to attach the mats. I didn't want to mess with this because I take mine out quite frequently and the thought of having to twist those screws in and out of my carpet every time I wanted to take them out just seemed like a big hastle...plus the wear and tear on the carpet. That's just how I understood the Extreme's to work. I might be wrong and they might just pop right off the screws. I don't know.
2. The Husky's were a closer match to the factory look. I wanted to keep the factory appearance as much as possible with my interior and the Husky's were almost identical to my factory FX4 mats...but with much better coverage. That is the main reason I like them.

All in all, I personally think they are both excellent looking floor mats. It really just depends on what look you want and how much you think you'll be pulling them in and out of your truck. I think they are both equal on durability and longevity. Hope this hepled out.

I got a set of Nifty Catch-All Xtremes sitting on the shelf in my garage. They don’t fit at all around the center trans hump. When the weight of your feet get on them the mat gaps big time. I put up with the ***** fit for four months and now I got the Husky heavy-duty floor mats and I like them. The Husky’s fit perfect. I got a tan interior and have the black mats.

Anyone have the gray interior with the Husky Floor mats?

I'm thinking about black Husky floor mats, but I have the gray interior. Hoping to see some pics maybe.

I was about ready to plop down the $$$$ for the huskys or the niftys until I found a universal (trim-to-fit) set at sams club made by kraco (believe it or not) They are really aggressive and have no problem holding lots of mud and slush. The drivers side fits great! The passenger side is a hair bit big, but I left it big for better coverage. Maybe one day I will trim it a bit. They have grey, tan and black and they are only $20 a full set!!!!

The only negative it that the rear mats are the same size as the stock rear mats (license plate size) But the fronts have complete coverage. (I have a center console.) With a reg cab, you can put the fronts down and then use the 2 small rear mats to cover the center area.

Spend the $20 on the kracos (I bet if they are at sams club, then they will be at wal-mart as well) and then use that big fat gift certificate for hunting/fishing/reloading supplies/camping, etc!!!

Huskys are about the best mats I've seen. I've had the carpeted niftys and they look good, but that self tapping screw sucks and the mats still get dirty.
The huskys come in black gray and tan, but the tan and gray are generic colors and don't match. Black is the best and easiest to clean especially if you scuff them with your shoes.
I have the sams club mats in my corolla, but the husky mats cover better and are easier to clean. I have the black ones in my excursion, lightning and F150.

khendrix...the Husky custom molded liners do come in gray.

Santa brought me the black ones yesterday, front and rear. I think they look fantastic. As mentioned very easy to put in and seem to stay in place very well. They match my interior trim to a tee.

As far as care, the front ones I'll just pull out and wash. The back mat I'll leave in and either use Glass Plus or Formula 409 (recommended by Husky). I have the sub-box under the rear seat and when I installed the rear mat I unbolted it and put the mat under it and then put the sub-box back. The coverage on the rear mat is wonderful, better than I've seen with other mats. In my old truck I had carpeted Catch-All's and I didn't like the way the back mat covered. The fronts covered well but seemed to slide all over even with the anchor screws installed.

Mine also came from Cabelas. They have good prices.

Funny side note....When my wife ordered the mats, she thought that you ordered the front mats separetely. So I opened the present and found two boxes of front mats. I told her Husky has a good warranty so I shouldn't need a spare set. Good thing Cabelas has a good return policy.

I'm going to buck the trend here. Nifty Catch-Alls. I love 'em. Love 'em so much I got a second set as a standbye. Hot carpet look & very tough. Yeah, you need to shampoo them every few months but they'll look great for a long, long time.

I have the grey husky's and they are great. The texture will match your rocker panel design, skidproof, easy to remove, fit is near perfect, color is close!

If I had a HUSKY BANNER... I'd fly it continously. They make an EXCELLENT product and their CUSTOMER SERVICE is unsurpassed...

To make a long story short, I had the Huskies in my old truck replaced under the lifetime warranty... when I traded, I was stuck holding a brand new set of mats for an 01... I called them, explained the situation... a week or so later, I had a BRAND NEW SET FOR MY 05... this included the fronts (which were the only ones that were going to be taken care under warranty) and a full rear set (which were totally free!!!!!!). Hard to beat service like that guys!!!

I'll have Husky's in everything I own from this point forward!
