Had my DSB hearing today.......

I think it went so so. They gave me 10 minutes to talk. They asked me not to talk about any of the info that they already had. I just told them the purpose I bought the truck for and that it has failed to meet that purpose and how much stress it has caused on my family and the fact that I do not believe the truck is safe to drive.

They only asked me how many times it had been back to the shop and for how many days. Also, they asked me if they had replaced the driveshaft and all wheels and tires. Of course, they have done that and they knew that but they wanted to hear it from me. I guess they record those things.

No Ford representatives were present at all. Allthough in my paperwork it said that Ford wanted to make an oral presentation as well.

They said they would make a decision today but I wouldn't get a letter for 10 to 14 days.

That's all I know. If this free process doesn't work then my lawyer is already ready to go.

I'll keep the good folks at F150online.com posted.

Any place you used to find a lawyer? Unfortunately OK is ranked 43rd in lemon law. There's no provision from what I see that makes the Manuf. pay for their fee's.. yikes.

The decision will be back to you soon. I think that I received my decision within 4 days after the hearing.

Sounds like if Ford didn't even show up that they might be throwing in the towel at these DSBs and just eating the cost of the lemons. Any idea what your next ride will be (since I know you're not going to trust Ford again)?

Thanks for the well wishes and I wish all of you the best of luck too.

I was hoping to get this resolved before Christmas and I've been working on it since August. Since I have to drive 5 hours to my parents house. I sure hope I don't have to end up renting a vehicle since my F150 SuckerScrew isn't safe. Would be nice to get a new ride. Probably looking at a used Toyota off of lease that I can just buy outright and have no loan.

I think a F250 w/6.0L Power Stroke turbo diesel is in order That will likely be my next ride in about 8 years when my wife agrees that I've had THIS one long enough. 570 lbs of torque @ 2000 rpm...oh yes. Nice turbo whistle as it spools up...oh yes.

Well, my wifes company has a law firm on retainer and I'm using them. I do not know of any lawyers, I've never had to use them before. You can check out www.lemonlaw.com. I would imagine that the lawyer would sue for enough money to reimburse their fee.

..

Back in 1992, I had a red Mustang GT that had serious paint problems (kept peeling off). After several fits with the DSB (they wanted me to keep painting it again and again...it had been painted FOUR times already and was getting runs/orange-peeling), I finally had to get a lawyer. Unfortunately, you really need to look at the law yourself. (Each state's lemon law may be a little different). The first two lawyers told me I didn't have a case...and the final lawyer told me the same....It was at that time I said, "Hold on, let me just read the law to you".
We then scheduled a meeting, and Ford ended up buying back my car.
It was 7 years before I bought another Ford, but I have since had a 1999 Cobra convertible, a 2001 Screw 4x4, and now a 2004 Screw 4x4. I've been very pleased with my latest Fords.
