Shane,

The 9005, 65W bulb can be modified easily to replace the 9145 stock bulb. You just clip a small portion of one of the mounting tabs on the 9005, and the bulb fits pefectly. The tab you trim is one of the three on the collar, and you can see very easily how much to trim by holding the 9145 and 9005 next to each other. I put some Cool Blues in, and the difference is awesome. I like the cool blues more than Silverstars personally. Less offensive to oncoming traffic, and still whiter than standard halogen.

Blessings!

It's a double edged sword and, like many things, those who abused it are causing those of us that utilized it to suffer.

I don't understand what you're saying. If these bright lights are legal, then anyone could use them. I can't see where anyone would "have no business" using them. If they're legal, it wouldn't matter if you thought they looked cool or if you thought they helped you see better.

Technically, they aren't all legal. As I stated elsewhere, the NHTSA has been investigating manufacturers of these lights and every single one investigated so far has ended up recalling all their lights. I had a link to the NHTSA article on another thread.

Handguns arent illegal for the most part but theres people that shouldnt have those too. I think RP was sayin that some people get them and fail to adjust them so they just light up everything including the cab of the vehicles in front and oncoming traffic making it hard to see for anyone but the person using the lights. Before anyone questions my comparison of a gun to bright lights consider what 5k lbs of vehicle can do to someone if they are blinded by lights, just as deadly.

H13 and 9008 are the exact same thing.
