Ford "Mobile Ease" - Bluetooth module

When you buy the systems there are two parts.
Part one is the the Bluetooth kit. (Control module, microphone and control pad)
Part two is the vehicle harness adapter. it is totally complete and you need no other wiring. Each harness is specific to the vehicle.

Check with Torrie at fordpartsnetwork.com. I've dealt with him MULTIPLE times in the past and have had nothing but STELLAR service from them.

Scott,
I just got some bad news about the Mobile Ease system.
In short Mobile Ease uses the Bluetooth .96 Handsfree Profile (HFP)
Many o fthe newer phone on the market now have Bluetooth 1.1 or even 1.2.
The mobile ease will function in a limited way with BT 1.1 phones. I have at BT 1.1 phone now but it does not stay constantly connected like my old phone did. I have to hit the control panle on the Moble ease systemto envoke a connection between the phone and car kit in order to do voice dial and make calls. It is not terribly annoyng but now way near a cool as the way my old phone works
I'm raising the issue with my ford parts guy now and he has a guy in Detroit in aftermarket electronics at Ford looking into it.
Hopeully here will be a updated control unit available and I can get one.
I'll keep everyone in the loop.

Here's some good news for those of you hoping to use the Ford Mobile-Ease system with a Blackberry 7520 that was posted on Howard Forums:
Problem Fixed
Rim just posted a new version of the software for the 7520
Go here https://www.blackberry.com/Software...lient=biTZdMddN
Or go through the software update link on Nextel's Website
I just loaded up the software, and tested on my Mobile- ease system. Phone works great... Finnally!
