I'll let you know.

I, too, looked at a Jabra BT Earpiece but decided to go the Moto line based on reviews that I read about the Jabra (the one with the CID on the earbud).

I have the Mobile Ease instaled, I'll get some pictures posted asap.

I installed the control panel idead center n the black plastic shroud that holds the cigarette lighter and backup radar override button in the center console. This may not work as well for you if you do not have the backup radar because then the cig lighter is dead center in this panel. You would have to put the control pad off ot the left side.

I removed the shround and drilled 1/2 hole nad worked it out to square with file.

Installation instructions were great and harnes was true plug and play into the OEM radio harness. (Love that OEM stuff)

I installed to mic in the upper left corner of the windshield and ran cable across headliner and down passenger b pillar.

Control module mounts behind glove box and wires from control pad and mic go into it.

Sound quality is incredible. People do not know that you are on a speaker phone. Noise cancelling is totaly excellent.

The integration with audio system is ideal. Call comes in, phone mutes and you hit control pad to take call. There are also buttons to mute mic, transfer call to hadnset, end call and flash over to another call.

Unit also has a nice voice activated phone book. You program it seperately from your phones built in book. Once completed you hit command button, say "call" units says "name please" you say "Natalie Portman" or whatever name and then it asks Home , Cellular or Work (only asks what you have programmed for each person) and then connects you.

Audio quality of the caller voice over the built in speakers is outstanding.

Although this unit is expensive (I paid about $350 for all the parts) the install is super clean and easy and the final products is Bmw or Mercedes calliber in my opinion.

Does anyone know if this would work with one of the new Eclipse AVN units? I'm going to be upgrading to one of those two in dash Navigation head units, but would LOVE this BlueTooth setup.

Thanks,
mikebaby

The Ford Mobile Ease is designed to "plug and play" with the OEM audio systems (Audiophile and stock) The included wire harness Piggybacks into the back of radio and existing harness with no mods.

You could go with a system from Parrot (google Parrot Bluetooth) and you will find them.

I have heard good things about the Parrot system and it has many of the same features.

Good Luck.

Calling dLewis1340

The only Mobile-ease kits I've been able to find on the Internet are the Ford units. The p/n for the system is: 3W4Z19G399AA and the p/n for the connector (CD 6 disk version) is: 3W4Z14A411AA. Now the Ford web site shows this p/n to be for the 2004 Explorer, however I suspect this unit works in the 2004 F150.
Can you provide the part numbers of the unit and the connector harness you installed in your truck?

Hopefully I will gain popular status like dezervit, but anyway, the best Bluetooth car kit on the market is the Parrot CK-3000 or CK-3100, there is also another model with GPS navigation built into it. These are the best as you can upgrade the software through you computer, the ck-3100 has an lcd screen and a jog shuttle as well as a green send button and a red end button and here is the kicker, you can get it for $180 and $120 for the ck3000, you will however need to purchase the harnesses from your local stereo shop to mute the radio and interface it. Visteon (make the headunit and climate controls) also sells one and guess who it is made by Parrot, they also make the Ford bluetooth kit as well.
Do you know what is required to interface the CK3000 with an aftermarket stereo? I can't seem to find anything that shows what is included with it, or what is needed to interface. I have a Kenwood MP3 player with both an Aux (RCA's) in, and a Mute wire...

Closer - FYI ... Parrot does not make the Ford OEM kit.

Pieker Acustic does.

I have used the Parrot 3100 and it is very, very nice. Anyone woud be happy with it or the Mobile Ease.

I tossed many of the boxes but when I get back home I'll look for some part numbers.

Long time reader, first time poster... please be gentle...

Hey dlewis1340, you mentioned "(I paid about $350 for all the parts) the install is super clean and easy ". Just what are "all the parts"? did you have to purchase additional wireharness, or is the one provided sufficient? And what is your definition of "easy"? I have '04 screw/lariat/4x4. Dealer wants to charge $650 to install. Not gonna happen... Any pics yet? Is there a user manual in pdf, or word, you can share?

thanks for any info you can provide....

I guess I'm confused...

I don't need an OEM kit. I don't have the OEM stereo anymore. I'm using a Kenwood MP3/CD player, but I don't see how the Parrot (which is I guess the better of the aftermarket kits?) interfaces with the Kenwood or any other. Do you just tap into the speaker wires? and plug in your mute wire?

When you buy the systems there are two parts.

Part one is the the Bluetooth kit. (Control module, microphone and control pad)

Part two is the vehicle harness adapter. it is totally complete and you need no other wiring. Each harness is specific to the vehicle.

$650 is robery for install. It is a two hour job TOPS. Mine only took that long because of the control pad location I wanted.

The install is very well documented in the instructions. It is a full plaug and play solution with no wire cutting.

I think I understand, so does the stereo interface then have two plugs that fit "inline" with the speaker connections? Also, I see the Ck3000 and Ck31000 on ebay new for pretty good prices, around $120 for the CK3000. If I bought one from there where would I be able to find the specific kit for my Stang, or should a qualified seller be able to supply that?

I haven't had a chance to try it out much but, initial impression is that it's AWESOME. Very sleek and very functional...
