Finally a PIC!!!

I finally put a pic up... Not doing to well on relabeling the link, so you'll just all have to suffer...

Sorry for the sun glare - had just spent six hours washing and waxing her!!!

We're going on our first major road trip on Tuesday - probably about 2200 miles round trip, but I haven't actually checked the mileage against a map yet.

You did a great job with the detailing. Now you can enjoy your first trip in your new ride... hope it doesn't rain.

Right now what I have planned so far is mostly cosmetic and/or practical: nerf bars (black), a few additional chrome pieces....

I keep kicking around whether or not to change the intake and the exhaust, and suspect I probably will but most likely not until I know when I have steady $$ coming in. I'm still reading posts on tires, etc. This is my first BIG truck, and though some of the mods LOOK really neat, I don't think I'll need them...

dzervit - I am SWAMPED until after Christmas. Would you like to come visit for your lasagna, or would you rather I invest in the dry ice and have it shipped? If you visit, of course, the homemade bread and salad are included. Spumoni for dessert?

All that good italian cookin' and no Tiramisu for dessert?! *sigh* sadly I must pass. I'll be in AZ over the holidays and burn up the rest of my vacation time. Dry iced & shipped just isn't the same. I'll get out there someday...

Nice looking truck, but black nerfs with the chrome? Trying to mix up the colors or didn't want too much chrome.

Red with chrome accessories looks sweet, just my $.02.

You're right, red with chrome looks sweet - and your truck is a beauty. It just bothers me to have something chromed that gets stepped on. Yes, I know there are those little black pads. I also know I have two boys who will be climbing in and out of that truck and I don't want to spend every entry and exit yelling at them to watch the chrome. Some things are worth sweating, others aren't.

I'm planning on adding a few other shiny pieces here and there to dress it up, just don't want to have to hassle my kids - it's hard enough to keep them from running their hands down the sides as they walk past it.

My boys are 10 and 8, and you're right it's a constant "Don't draw stick figures on the tailgate", "if you guys spill any soda or drop any skittles behind the seat it'll be the last time you eat or drink in my truck". But they're kids hassling them is what it's all about. Just wait, in a few years they'll be asking for the keys to go out on dates or go cruisin' with their nit-wit friends.

My first car was a 74 Plymouth Valiant, that's what they're going to get. Lets see them get into trouble with that.

Looks good.... now you just need some bigger tires, and yes, I think a CB radio with whip antenna....

wuzzittoya - Nice truck! Red with chrome accessories does look really nice! So, my vote is for the chrome steps.

Jhogan - My first car was a '72 Toyota Corona! You could stick your entire hand through a rust hole in the drivers side door. lol. The engine ran well though. I plan on buying one to give to my kids as their first car! That is, when I have kids.
