VIN Codes

I have a 2004 F-150 Supercab XLT 4 X 4. Does anyone know where I can locate the vin codes for this vehicle. I am interested in the build plant.

With all of the talk of viberations and such I am curious how this will relate to my ride.

My truck has a Sepetmber 2004 build date.

Thanks in advance for any help.

VIN is in the standard place, front drivers side, I see mine just below the windshield. My plant sticker is at the bottom of the passenger side window in the corner. Norfolk, VA. And I'm also a member of the unlucky vibe club.

I am very sorry that I did not explain my question better. I know where the code plate is located on the truck but not how to read the codes.

Ah that makes better sense. Someone will have to look up your VIN I guess. I don't think anyone's seen a pattern of what trucks have the vibes. Ppl with trucks from all plants abd various build dates have the issues. I think you would know if you did, I can't drive without thinking about it. Bought truck w/ 15 miles, vibe started to be noticable around 2k. Peak is around 40-45. I can judge my speed just from the vibe in the wheel.

KEN,

I think almost all the F-150s here in Virginia are homegrown (from Norfolk). Been that way since 48. Besides teh sticker on the glass, the window sticker (if you still have it) tells where it is assembled.

The white sticker on the bottom of the driver side door pillar has the build date and plant on it.

Oh - No, not the window sticker. Mine says Dearborn, Mich. I thought that was the "Home Office"

I hope this doesn't mean mine was built by Managers and Clerks

Nope... no clerks or office staff have harmed the manufacturing of your vehicle....

But rather your truck was built in a state of the art, brand new facility that Ford just opened for the new F-150.

Congrats!

Thanks for the link. That is a great find.

My truck was manufactured at the Dearborn Michigan facility.

The VIN decoder works for all vehicle makes owned by Ford...for example Jaguar.
