I put JL Audio seperates in the front doors and think they sound great. I think it is more a matter of taste in music and personal opinion as far as which would sound better to you. I would go to a stereo shop and listen to a few sets. There is also alot of info in the audio section on this forum too if you haven't already looked there. Good luck with your choice as they all sound better than the factory ones to me.

I suggest getting your **** down to the local stereo shops w/ some of your favorite CDs and listen to them all off of the SAME HU and amp... many shops worth anything can do this.

What ever YOUR ears find the most accurate and pleasing, that's what you buy. Brand names don't mean jack sheet nor does price or what everyone else is running. Build you audio system around YOUR ears, as you'll be the one that must live with them day in and day out.

My ears have found Boston Aucoustics works best for me. I've found JLs, Eclipse, and many others just too 'bright' for me.

Now go forth and listen young man!

I would have to go with the the JL's. I have JL XR series components in front and coax in the rear and I absolutley love them.

I went with 2 pairs of Polk 5x7s.
My ears liked the deeper Bass than the others and my wallet liked the 50% off the second pair they were offering. They sound great. If you are not changing HU then you should consider at least a small Amp to wake them babies up. the factory speakers dont need that much power to get their sound

I went down to a local stereo shop, and decided on Alpine S-Type at all 4 doors. Front were components (SPS-171A) and rear were coaxials (SPS-570A). Factory single-CD HU and an Eclipse 490W amp (EA3422). IMO, it sounds awesome! The only thing I don't have is a sub, but for my preference, I don't think I need one. The speakers I have put out plenty of thump for my taste, and the music I listen to (classic rock & country) sounds good with my setup.

If/when you do get one, you'll wonder why you ever said this...

Probably right, but I'm just trying to make myself feel better because I cannot afford one right now
