Installed DJM Drop Shackles Today (pics)

Me and my brother-in-law installed a set of DJM drop shackles on my Screw today. It was a very simple install (it took about 45min) and I am very please with the result. The truck has a very nice even stance and a lot less wheel well gap but doesn't look "slammed". I have a set of 24x10 ACK Aries rims with 305/35/24 Kumhos coming Friday....they should look great without that huge gap!

did you measure the tire-top of well gap before and after? i.e. what's the inch difference?

At the rear bumper it was nearly exactly 2in. The shackles have a hole for 1.5in and 2in. If you look at the pic of the wheel well you can get an idea of the difference by looking at the line between the bed floor and the frame and the top of the tire.

Did you drop 1 1/2" or 2"? I have the Autospring Lift right now but I am going to remove it and drop the rear. I don't like the big wheel well gap since I have a 4x2 Lariat and I never travel off road.

John I used the 2in hole in the pics above, but after a few days of looking at it I just didn't like it lowered that much. All though it was level it gave the illusion (TO ME) of squatting in the back. So I went to the 1.5 in hole and I really like it. It has a slight rake to it now and to me that looks better.

Looks nice and level! Good job!

I also wanted a leve truck but opted to lift the front end.

Looks good like that for a 2 wheel drive.

very nice........ truck looks great. One other benefit to lowering the rear (besides looks) I would guess is better access to the bed........ Take care.
