Hello all! To those who thought Sharing a pin: thank you! I have a dose friend who offered a Dodge PIN similar to Ford's. Decided to Stay with the Ford and swapped out our XLT for the FX4. I'm not the best negotiator and didnt get close to invoice but that's OK as we really like this terrific truck. Again, thanks to those who Considered helping us out.

go to create a gallery and follow steps. Trading up would net a big loss on the xlt now . Dealers take the money and run .

We were lucky in that the dealer simply took the car back after 3 days and we paid the difference between what we had and what we wanted with the XF4.

After rebates we got about $6500 off of MSRP.

that was a sweet deal from the dealer. Lucky had a neice buy one and before she took delivery she called but dealer wouldn't change price because she allready signed the contract.

Hi Kamikaze,

I sure did.

The person we worked with was Dave Donaldson. My wife and I both thought he was very straight forward with us. You know how buying a car can sometimes seem interminable? He tried not to do that to us and, for the most part, he did. I gave in some and he (and the manager) gave in some on price. I suppose I could have sat there and gotten a bit better deal, but, in some ways, it was worth it to pay a little above invoice and not have to go through that whole mess.

Hi Bluestange,

I think I misstated what I meant to say.

We kept the XLT F150 for three days (maybe four). We actually put 400 miles on it. The sales person (Dave Donaldson at Kendall) allowed us to swap the XLT without any penalty. We didn't even pay for the miles we put on the original truck.

We just paid the difference between MSRP on the XLT and the MSRP on the truck we eventually bought (the FX4).

Dave worked from the MSRP on the first truck (the XLT) and not what we actually paid for it, which was about $2000 below MSRP. That narrowed the cost so that we only paid about $1500 difference between the two trucks - per the stickers - and he didn't add in some of the dealer costs, either, that always jack up the price.

I hope that made sense. <G>

I also got my truck with the X-plan. My salesman was Doug, they weren't real pleased that I used the X-plan because it really cuts into their commission. Anywho here is a picture of my truck. Maybe I'll see you around town!

Kamikaze,

That is a nice truck.

Mine is charcoal grey (FX4) and still doesn't have the license on front or back yet.

I will absolutely be looking for your truck around town and give ya a honk.

I was impressed with Kendall. Didn't use the X-plan but am hoping to do somethun about that if possible. No big deal if not.

Bluestang,

I agree. I wish more dealers would do that. I think you can tell by Kamikaze's comments that Kendall has integrity. At least, that's how I read our salesperson.

Cool, I'll be looking for you too. I also still have temp tags, but I'll be getting the Crater Lake plates pretty soon. Since I took that picture a few weeks ago I had a spray in bed liner done, an Access tonneau installed and the front windows tinted. It looks great!

I've been pretty happy with Kendall overall. I had an annoying clicking in my steering column that took 3 trips to get fixed. But it is fixed and they went out of their way to accomodate me.
