Question Does the '04 FX4 still come with Rancho shocks?

I was wondering if the 2004 F-150 FX4 still comes with Rancho shocks, because mine did not. However, yesterday I saw a friend who had a 2004 F-250 Super-Duty FX4 and his DID have the Rancho shocks.

I thought the FX4 shocks were "Rancho Grade" or something like that just so Ford could say they were offroad shocks.

I just reviewed the 2004 brochure. For the FX4 they say:
"specially tuned off-road shocks"
and
specially tuned outboard mounted shocks are off-road optimized to help deliver responsive performance, day in and day out"
I couldn't find use of the Rancho name anywhere.

Honestly, the Rancho branded OEM shocks on the previous model was a shame to the Rancho name. You are not missing anything (good).

They are not Rancho or Rancho related according to Ford.

If you looked closely on the Rancho shocks that came with the previous FX4's they had motorcraft stamped on the bottom, just had the rancho sticker. In brochures and other material they were referred to as "Rancho Branded" shocks.
