Question Norfolk build sticker

Okay, I know I'm going to sound **** retentive as hell, but here goes... My 04 FX4 needs a new windshield, and, um, er, I wanted to replace the Norfolk build sticker (the truck on the decal looks just like mine, go figure). I did a forum search and got a tel # for NAP, but one cannot talk to a live Ford ee there, it would seem. Any advice (besides "get a life!")?? I know this is silly, but any info would be appreciated.

I can take a pic of mine and email it to you and maybe a local sign shop could make you one?

Just take it off, and put it back on.

I would agree with this post. You should beable to remove it (carefully) and put it on the new windshield. I did this on an Explorer sport we used to have.

Would have given you mine, I tossed it the day the truck left the lot.

i removed my sticker, but mine did not come off nicely, and i don't guess you'd be able to re-apply it to your new windshield.....? but maybe the others are right and that will work for you...

oh yeah, one last thing: get help!

Like EddyG88, I would give you mine, it came out the day I got home with the truck. But it has a tear in it now even though I was pretty careful with it. I don't think you would really want it. Sorry!

Hey Fordllllllllll, I really appreciate the offer. I can't seem to email you thru this board. Can you email me an email address when you get time? Thanks a lot. Steven.

Hey, I'm just as **** as the guy who started this post (and I used the Search function ). I tried to email you but the site won't let me. Do you still have some of these stickers? I'm getting a new windshield installed Monday and just in case they can't salvage the original...

I'm going in for a new windshield tomorrow morning. Today at lunch, I (very carefully) used my butane soldering iron with the hot air tip attached to warm the outside of the windshield, then used a razor blade scraper to lift up one edge of the decal, and peeled it off in one piece. I'm thinking about reapplying it somewhere else though, maybe on one of the rear door windows since I don't roll those down very often, or maybe on the back glass.

I'd much rather have it on the back window but I did take mine off, simply came off with some WD-40 and a razor blade.
