silverstar longevity?

I purchased a set of silverstar signal bulbs last month. The right one is already burned out. What gives? Whats the typical life expectancy of these bulbs, surely its not a month? For the 20 dollars i gave for these bulbs a months worth of clear appearance is crap.

I installed my Silverstar turn signal bulbs last December and they're still going strong. You might just have had the misfortune of getting a bad bulb...

I've got headlights, turn signals and fogs. the heads and fogs have been going for more than a year and the turns for about 6 months with no problems.

When you installed them, were you careful not to touch the bulbs? They say that skin oils can make these types of bulbs fail quickly.

return it. Even if there isn't any warranty, a decent retailer would take them back and deal with the distributor/manufacturer direct (the retailer doesnt want a bad rep for selling crap)

don't use a rag next time. Just don't touch the glass/bulb at all. Touch the lower portion, socket area. Good luck with trying to resolve this, you may have to go directly to sylvania.

1-800-LIGHTBULB Call that number and ask them what to do if the store gives you problems.

I feel very strongly that Sylvania's customer service department will help you out. Give them a call and explain the situation.

for the record it was a completely unused cotton terry still in the package :o)
Yeah i contacted sylvania and they said to send em the bulb back so i assume that means free replacement. That works for me.
