Audio Systems

I own a 2004 F-150; SuperCrew; Lariat; black on tan. I want to install a system in my truck. However, I do not know what to put in it. I prefer JL Audio. Please help. Your ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Pioneer Premiere head unit, JL audio 250-1 monoblock amp, 2 10" subs (I like Kicker XPLs if you can find them..10" will give you more musicality and less BOOM) Sub box for under the back seat and Infinity Kappas in the front doors. The rear door speakers don't add much to the driver's ears.

My 2004 Lariat Scab 4X4 came with the factory Audiophile system. 11 Speakers, 6 disk changer etc. Sounds great to my old ears! But that doesn't help you much with an after market choice, just thought put in a couple of cents worth.

You can put pretty much any brand/type you want. It's up to you. Go to a local place and listen to them to decide what you like better.

Personally, I'm about to install a Pioneer DEH-P7600MP head unit with Infinity Reference 6800cs components up front and 6802 2-way in back.

Eventually I plan on getting a sub for under the rear seat in my SCREW from www.supercrewsound.com.

Dupuis, I would like to talk at length with you about your sub enclosure and the one I just built. I think we have some similiar history in car audio. Please email me when you get a chance. mekllym@aol.com. Matt

Hey Matt,
For some reason I am unable to e-mail anyone with an aol.com address. You can PM me or call at 337-654-5826.

I'm not trying to e-mail through profile. No PM has nothing to do with e-mail. Anytime I try to e-mail anyone with an aol account ,aol kicks it back saying no such account was found and I know I'm sending them to real aol users. Been this way for a few years. Nothing to do with this site though.

You know what, I'm sorry about that. We used to be able to PM each other but it was removed. Oh well, I guess anyone with an aol e-mail account will just have to call me.
