Has anyone lowered their rearend...

Now that I have your attention...

I find a lot of information here on F150Online on raising the front suspension to level out the truck but no one has started a thread that talks about lowering the rear suspension.

I don't like the looks of a truck that has a lot of space between the tires and wheel wells. To me, it looks like someone lifted the truck but ran out of money to buy a larger set of tires. Someday I may lift the truck but only if I can put a set of 33's or 35's under it.

So if anyone has lowered their rear, please let me know where you found the parts. I am assuming all I would need is a new set of rear shackels to lower it about 1 1/2 to 2 inches. Or if there is a better way, please let me know.

Please, no smart a$$ remarks... let's keep it clean.

Thanks.

M,

...YES, they have.

Check out these threads:
Removing 2" Spacers from rear end... (Also has links from Tuff Ford to some other threads.)

Anyone find a rear Lowering Kit yet?

Rear drop shackles?

Anybody have before/after 2" rear drop?

Lowering the 2004 F150!

That should keep you busy.
Enjoy!

Thank you for the quick response. I'm still new to this forum stuff and should have done a better job with the search tool.
