Removing 2" Spacers from rear end...
Removing 2" Spacers from rear end...
Can we simply remove the 2" blocks from the rear end?
Do I need to get differnt "U" bolts/spacers..etc...?
Will I need some sort of thin rubber bushing in place of
the 2" blocks?
Has anyone done it?
I can't take it anymore, it needs to be LEVEL!!!
Thanks!

Thankfully this is a simple job. Order Ford #4L3Z-5705FA U-bolts to replace the existing parts. Remove the spacers and U-bolts and reassemble with the new U-bolts. I torqued the nuts down to 80 ft-lbs on the new U-bolts.
I also recommend spacing the front edge of the seats up to prevent that "falling forward" feeling in the 40-20-40 seats in my FX4. Remove the capscrews with a T-50 Torx socket and pry the front edge of the seat up enough to slip in 3/4" nuts as spacers.
Reinstall the original bolts and presto the vehicle feels much more civilized!
I had to do this almost immediately after receiving my truck for comfort. I have over 10,000 miles on my truck and am very happy with it!

Can anyone offer any insight? Is there a ride performance loss with simply removing the 2" blocks??? If not, why are folks spending so much money to lower the rear end....???
