unless you feel you really need them, I personally find them ugly.

I think it looks better with just wheel lip moldings (that you can get almost anywhere)

I got the Husky Mud Guards and had them painted to match the Arizona Beige

I got the ones from Ford. I like the way they look, price was fair and you can get them from your Ford dealer.

Bad99Pony,

I meant to tell you in an earlier thread, but got sidetracked..your painted mud flaps look great.
I talked to a paint and body shop last December about painting my running boards and mud flaps Az. beige...but they were concerned about the paint holding onto the surface over the long term and turned me off on the idea.
Did the place that painted yours have to do any surface prep/sanding?

Thanks,

Thanks John... I did actually ask them about the paint coming off and pointed out the instructions said to lightly scuff them before paining. The owner said that wasn't necessary, something in the paint they used would make it stick to the surface with no problem. They've done work for me in the past and I've had no issues with them, only time will tell on these tho.

I just made a thread on step bars and molded mud flaps > I see Bad Pony your fronts looks as if there is a place made for the factory step bar. Bad they use a plastic adhesion promotor to assist paint in sticking same as on the bug shields that are paint to match. This product i think it softens the plastice so the chemical in the paint will bond together for better adhesion. I dont think under normal driving you will have a problem. If the flap gets bent in half it might crack paint or begin to peel.
