I'm going to pretend the F150 is my Jeep Comanche and run Mobil1 15w-50 in it. That should end the discussion as well as help it run like the jeep. Note, the Jeep was the last AMC Jeep with the AMC 4.0L not CHRYSLER.

You need to baby the engine for the first 5,000 miles or so and break it in gently with a good quality 5w20

Synthetics

The new Mustangs Cobra, and Corvettes use the Synthetics oils. Ive been told Synth suspends particulates longer and they are trapped by the filter more efficiently. I use Mobile 1 in my Eclipse turbo, and will use it on my F150 once purchased!

thanks fo rthe feedback. I think I will go with the Mobil 1 5w -30.
I know it works. I do not know about the synthetic.
And I will do it myself. Too many horror stories, too expensive a truck.
