I use flat black spray paint. Not much protection I guess, but I touch it up as needed.

I had a concern about the non sealed fender walls. Since I haven't Linexed my bead, I was going to look into doing the wells when I get the bed done. I do some offroading and haven't had any trouble yet

A bedliner would probably do the best. I actuall kind of like the open wheel wells, especiall since ive dented the well twice from the bed. It makes it easy to pop them out.

I went to Walmart and bought a couple of cans of spray on bedliner, sanded and sprayed them myself. Looks good and functions just like a spray in liner. Im protected in the fender wells now.

I had the rear fender wells sprayed with LINE-X when I had my bed done.

I found something a little different that I am going to try. A product called Plasti dip (in aerosal form) that I found at lowes for $4.50 a can. It is a durrable rubber product that claims will not crack, chip, or become brittle. It uses range from Marine, Automotive, household. A can covers 5-10 sq feet. I plan on using two coats at least. I am anxious to see how this holds up.

I am getting my bed done this week and they told me it would be about 75 dollars per side to spray the inner fenders. Does that sound about right??

It's been three years since I had my LINE-X applied but it only cost $50 extra for both rear fenders.

Times are a changin'.

I was quoted 100$ per side and only found one out of four shops I checked with that would do it. I think 75 is not bad. I plan on getting mine done after the first of the year.
