Brake squeak NOT solved

Well, all these posts and still no answer. Summary:
New pads and it still squeaks, turned rotors and it still squeaks, brakes cleaned and it still squeaks.
The service manual clearly states that squeaking is NORMAL.

One Ford dealer did nothing and said all is normal. Another was very nice and replaced the pads, even though it still squeaked.

Has anyone found and had a ceramic pad installed. Did this FIX it?????

I can clean brake dust, I can live with grooves in the rotor, but pulling up to a light in a $40,000 truck, that just plain SUCKS!!!! I am trying to look cool, if I wanted squeaky brakes I would have purchased a USED PINTO!!!!!

It’s hard to conceive how some trucks have grooved rotors and squeaking brakes and some don’t. You would think that all 04’s would have the same rotors and pads but obviously not. ???

Well, my truck is going in for the brakes on friday 24th. I am trying a new dealership that i have delt with before.

I will post the news on saturday (good or bad)

All i know is this is not normal wear. I have had heavier trucks with more aggressive pads and the rotors never grooved like these have in such a short time....

I do love this truck.....hopefully the few problems i have will be fixed come friday.

I too have had the sqeaky brakes since pretty much day one. I have 9500 miles now---I told them at 4500 miles and they said it is normal. I told them this time and they said there is no fix. The reason I tried again, is that in Motor Trend, they had a one year update this month on one and they said that they had brakes that squealed and they had some replacement parts that were covered under warranty. Why is it that you can read about this yourself in a magazine, but cant get anybody to fix it? Does anyone else know anything to do? Is there a fix, or not? The breaks work fine, but I hate the squeal with a passion. thanks for any help

Thats what gets me JDpete why will they say no fix. There is a fix but why should i pay to do it. The truck was not free. The warranty should fix any and all complaints we have.

That’s your dealer and their service department screwing you. Find another dealership that is willing to work with you resolving your concerns.

Consider that Ford very likely uses brake pads from different suppliers, that are quite likely of different material or composition. Compare this to the variety of tires used on new trucks of the same mfg. So, with this mind, some brake pads work better than others. Some are groovy and some aren't. Can you dig?

I have 16k on my truck and the rotors are grooved, making noise, and warped. I took it into the dealer this morning and the Dealer told me that my rotors had been burned and ford will not cover that. I asked how that could of happened and he said towing something will do it. I towed a 19 foot boat 4-5 times this summer 15 miles. Is my truck not capable of towing a 19 foot boat? LOL I am supposed to get some feedback tomorrow and weather ford will allow them to replace them or not.

Anybody know an aftermarket rotor you can buy yet?
