I have never had a dealer reflash PCM but my truck was built on 05/04 and obviously had the latest flash from the get-go.
Superchips paying shipping both ways...can't really complain

I got mine on friday, overnight shipping is the ****. I supposedly had my pcm reflashed last week right before I got the programmer. Either the dealer lied and didnt do it, or it just happened to work. Either way I don't care much at this point my programmer worked great.
I started off with the 87 curve and noticed right away that I could break my tires loose. That alone was cool. After doing a lot of peeling out around the neighborhood I burned off my 87 gas. I filled up with 93 and switched the curve to the max performance 93 octane curve. I expected a larger difference, but honestly I couldnt feel too much. I am still running the 93 but will probably go back to the 87 soon.
Overall this programmer is pretty cool, however, I was expecting a lot more performance. I switched it back to the stock curve for a few minutes and found that acceleration was very similiar. The only seat of the pants difference you can feel is how much firmer it shifts. I guess thats cool, but in reality I'm not sure its significantly faster. It does make the truck more fun to drive though.
The biggest benefit I've found is when I'm cruising on the highway at 80 and want to pass someone I can just put the pedal to the floor and it downshifts immediately and pulls with authority. This makes the difference that makes the programmer worth the money. It seems actually hp gains are minimal, all the real gains come from better shift points.
Overall good buy, but performance gains were less than expected, I think its been a bit overhyped. That being said I'm not going to be returning my programmer, it's a cool toy.

superchips
I did the same thing, I saw a big difference between stock & the 87 oct. program, then I switched to the Hi-Performance and did not notice much of a diff. I exspected more, but I honestly can't tell, I did drag reace a friend of mine with the exact same truck and pulled him pretty good off the line, maybe 30 feet in the first 100 yards, but he stayed about the same dist back after the initial push. I will try some different setting, maybe I will tell the tuner that I am towing 4000 lbs....... I plan on changing the rev limiter to 6000, and see what happens.

One important thing you need to be careful of buying on E-bay is that there are a lot of products that carry absolutely no warranty.
Mainly because a lot of the people selling them on E-bay are not authorized dealers.
This is exactly why there are companies like Troyer Performance that stand behind the products they sell.
Most warranty coverage requires proof of purchase and where you bought it from before they will honor a warranty.
To me that's worth a few more bucks.
