Angry Mirror found garage door frame.... aaargghhh

Well it had to happen sooner or later.

Backing out of the garage the other day the passenger mirror nicked the door frame for the garage. The mirror bent backwards but did not break thankfully. I don't want seven years bad luck!

The problem is the yellow lens cover for the turn signal did break!

The Ford dealer says I have to replace the whole mirror for $129 plus labor!!!

I think I will just have to spend $2.95 for some crazy glue and put the lens back together myself!

I scraped the mirror on mine in the parking garage and cracked the outer plastic of the mirror - it also left a nasty white streak imbedded in the black plastic. So I took a Black permanent marker and colored over it and "poof" white lines gone like magic...

I am yet another person that has done something dumb to mess up the mirror.... I was pulling out of the bank drivethru in the opposite lane that I normally go through, the column is was closer than the other side and due to me just cashing my check I was more worried about checking it than looking where I was going..... scratched it up pretty good.

I think that they will only get damaged if you hit something while backing up. If you are going forward, they should fold in and not break.

Hey 'Tuff Ford' !

I'm in Lenox Park Subdivision off of Whitehead Rd and Suwanee Dam.

I've seen your posts before but have not yet since you on the road. I hope your sun-roof incident worked out alright.....

I am like 1/4 mile from you up Whitehead in Abingdon. I drive past your neighborhood everyday to and from work. It's just a matter of time before someone pulls out of there and gets creamed! People fly up and down that road, and that blind curve is going to get somebody someday.

BTW, I am sure you've heard the most recent news in Sugar Hill...Pipe bomb in Abingdon
