Question Need leveling help

Just put the autospring 1.5 inch kit on my Screw FX4. I was hoping it would leave the front a little lower than the rear, but it's perfectly level, even after alignment. Is there another leveling kit out there that would lift the front less than the 1.5 autospring kit? I got about 3 inches of lift out of it, by the way. I was shooting for about 2 inches.

Thanks for any help.

I put the daystar lift in mine and got about 2.5 inch lift. I have heard of others that put the lift in but left the stock rubber above the spring instead of the thicker one provided with the kit and got about 2 inches of lift. I am not sure if the autospring is the same type of lift. if so you could try the same thing.

Just got the Autospring 1.5" kit today and had it put on today. Got exactly 2 1/4" of lift. My rear is still an inch higher than the front. Perfect! Looks 1,000,000% better. It's amazing how much different the view is out the front window. I like it alot.

Question

So one guy puts on the autospring 1.5" kit and gets ~3 inches of lift while another puts the same kit on their truck and obtains exactly 2.25" of lift? I'm not calling either of you a BS'er but is it possible that the kit could be installed differently?

Just curious -- how difficult is the installation?

Thanks in advance,

Did you measure the spacer? Was it 1.5" total? If you had the 2" spacer put in by mistake, you would get the look you are describing. There is no way the 1.5" spacer should do that if it were installed correctly.

Me too. I've had both installed on this truck. The 2" provided about a 3" lift, which for me just looked a bit too high. It was level but I wanted a slight nose low stance. I had it changed for the 1.5" which on my truck is slightly less than 2.25" of lift. It looks great!

For some reason, on the 4x2's I have read that the Autospring 1.5" kit gives more than the expected lift. I have seen this discussed multiple times, and it seems like every time someone gets higher than expected out of the kit, the have a 4x2. Just an observation I have made, don't know if any of your trucks are 4x2 or not, hope this sheds some light on your situation.

I put the 1.5 Autospring in last weekend and I love it as well. It raised the front to within a 1/4 of an inch of the back. Make sure you get your trucks aligned after installation.

Putting the lift in was easy, just make sure you have a 27mm box end wrench and a 28mm deep well socket. Other than that I used my two post above ground lift and a floor jack and had it done last saturday morning as I switched from coffee to bud light....heheheheh

I love the ride and the look is awesome. I am putting 2 on for more friends.

when I pit my daystar in it lifted more at first but as it got broke in it settled into the rubber and droped about a half inch you should check it again in a month or so.

I didn't measure the spacer before we installed it. THe invoice said 1.5 inch, but that's no guarantee I guess. I called the guy at Autospring and asked him, he said to measure it on the truck, that the 1.5 incher measures about 1-5/8 inches. If it's the wrong one, he'll exchange it.

I measured it before I put it on and the spacer was between 1 1/2" and 1 5/8". It is made out of steel so there is no way it could lift one truck any differently than another and there is no "settling in". Once installed, it is where it's going to be. Mine is a 4x4. Before the lift the rear was about 3 1/4' higher than the front. Now it's about 1". It you have any wrench twisting experience, you can do it. Not much to it.
