Thumbs up K&N FIPK Installed

I got my K&N FIPK "Air Charger" 63-1089 over the weekend. I couldn't wait for the CARB sticker. Installation was a piece of cake, less than a hour. There is a definite increase in hp but it is still early on determining mpg's. I don't expect a whole of change if any in that department. All I can say is this thing growls! When I step on it I can't even hear the Borla exhaust, which may take some getting used to. I thought I had installed something wrong, but after reading threads about the Volant, it sounded right.

I did not receive my "CARB" sticker that I was talking about earlier in this thread. I need to contact K&N to get the sticker. Hopefully, they have it and it's painless to get.

So far, I have not had any problems as far the check engine light.

K&N did a quality job putting this together. The only complaint I have is that since you have to install an elbow adapter between the intake and the throttle body, one of the wires going to the throttle is now a little too taught.

Here are some pics, enjoy:

Why are you waiting on the Airforseone? The only difference is the polished tube right?

It is really just a matter of what you like. AF1 and K&N are probably two of the better intakes on the market. I have a K&N in my Mustang and love it. I like that Airforce One utilizes aircraft quality stainless steel in the design of its intake systems to minimize the transferance of heat into the intake charge. I plan on adding some Billet accessories to the engine and the AF1 will work with those mods.
