First and formost, welcome to f150online.com F150WITH20S! We're glad to have you aboard!

As a heritage 2004 owner, you have the same lights that were featured in the late model trucks (like mine). The headlight bulb is a 9007 bulb and there are oodles of options available for you from a bulb perspective.

Personally, prior to switching to High Intensity Discharge (HID) lights, I REALLY liked the Sylvania SilverStar bulb. They are very white (some claim to see a very slight tint of blue but I've looked and simply can't see it) and put out considerably more light than a stock 9007 in my opinion.

Also, I'm not sure if you have factory fog lights (as are featured on a 4X4) but, if so, you can also exchange those bulbs for SilverStars however, you will have to get a different size. You see, the stock size for most of the late model F-150s' fog lamps is a 9145 bulb (or at least that's been generally what I've seen on 2001 models) but, the SS bulb isn't made in a 9145. To remedy this, many of us have taken a 9005 bulb and have found that it works just as good (and even better in my opinion) than a 9145. Even better, it pulls just about the same wattage and thus, you don't have to worry about melting your bulb housings or the wiring associated with that electrical system.

With that being said, be forewarned that many aftermarket bulbs pull excessively high wattage and may require a heavy duty wiring harness or should simply not be used as the electrical system wasn't designed for that type of wattage pull.

Again, welcome aboard and I hope that helps out! Feel free to ask any additional questions as you feel necessary!

RP

OK, I bought some apc super whites I bought the 9007's and the H1's. When I pulled out my fog light bulbs i saw that the bulb removes from the bulb plugin, as in the bulb pulls out of the thing that holds the bulb and the H1 fits right in.

Just makes you wonder if anyone really ever notices when someone goes out of their way to help and spends 10 or so minutes of their life directly answering and attempting to help with a question...

I feel you man.

I noticed, I appreciated it! I am still waiting on something for these new headlights. I am probably going to get the fog lamp bulbs this weekend. I want to be able to throw as much light as possible.
