Am I too HIGH???

I just installed my 2" Auto Spring front lift kit this morning and I am not sure if it is what I wanted. I ordered the 2" kit before I read all of the threads about the 1.5" kit. What do ya'll think of this look?

It's look pretty darn nice. Perhaps a bit high in the front. My biggest problem with perfectly leveling the truck is that now if you put anything in the bed, the *** end is dragging too low.

I'm a bit skeptical about lifting the front of my truck since I plan on towing and I use it to haul crap around in. Maybe just 1"-1.5" for me.

Thats a good point. I do either tow or carry my ATV often, although that is not much weight. I will check the truck once loaded.

1.5" might have been better but it still looks badass

I have not had the truck aligned since this was done. The instructions say that an alignment will lower the truck due to the toe in because of the lift. Has anyone experienced this "lowering" once the alignment was done?

I can't imagine that the truck will lower noticeably after an alignment. I think there is lots of guys on this site that got the alignment after the lift, but were within spec anyway.

The suspension may settle a little bit, but that might be more in the feel of the drive than in the physical height.

Take the same pic as you have above, when you load up your truck with the ATV or trailer. I'd be curious to see a side-by-side visual comparison of how much it squats.

Looks fine to me. If you are concerned about the rear not being high enough, just raise it. You could easily remove the stock 2 inch rear block and replace it with a 3 or 4 inch block. I would wait a little while to see if the front settles any (I doubt it) and to decide how much you want to raise the rear exactly. Do you plan on adding larger tires and wheels? That would really set it off.

i actually have the 2.5" on my truck, and I am about to put a 2" block in the back. mine rides nose high, but not for too much longer. i say your truck looks good, but as soon as you put something in the bed, it would look pretty funny.

my .02 = get a 2"block from the local 4x4 shop.

Thanks for all the great advise everyone. I will look into the Extra block for the rear. As far as tires go, I will look at larger tires in the future.

Correct me here if I'm wrong guy's, as I read these posts I see that some owners are rasieing the front of there trucks to compensate for what they think is the rear of the truck being to high. Now I see where some owners after doing the front lift are then adding a lift block to the rear because the front is now to high. I thought the trucks looked just fine at stock height and towed great, rides nice. I guess I don't understand, but it won't be the first time...

After further review, I think I will be leaving the truck as is. I just measured the height of the truck from the ground to the top of the wheel wells. I have a 1" fall from the back of the truck to the front. I think this is perfect.

Carpenter, the reason some of us do this is purely due to the fact that we do not like the look of the lowered truck in the front. It is simply a personal preference. I will not be adding a block in the back but if I do decide the front is too high, I will simply put in the 1.5" spacer. As far as the ride quality, the spacers did not seem to effect it at all.

BlackScrew,
Just exactly how much lift did the spacer give you? Was it more than 2", exactly 2", or what? How much did it end up raising the front end total?

I ended up with about a 2 1/2" lift using the 2" spacers. Measured before the lift was 36 3/4", after was 39 1/4" The rear measures 40 1/4".
