Grim, I would like to know just what kind of virus warning you get when opening that link. Is it a warning of a definite virus, or just the POSSIBILTY of a virus when opening files within a website. That link does open an audio file called exhaust.wav, and I suspect your browser's security is set to give you a warning in such cases even though a virus is not present.

If I am wrong please let me know...

Thanks

I am subscribed to Symatec (Norton AntiVirus). It constantly and automatically screens and warns of any virus content or intrusion, including all emails I send. When the link completed downloading, Symatec immediately warned me of a virus content...I was further warned that it could not be isolated/quarantined/or removed without further action on my behalf which I am exploring further. This was a notification, not a 'possibility'. Between Symatec and Microsoft patches, I've managed to keep my system free of virus issues (except the last major bug that infected worldwide systems...once in 8 years ain't bad).

Maaannn, I cant believe I spent good money on the exhaust I bought for my truck. With this info I could have saved a bundle. Anyone want to buy a slightly used cat-back system?

Interesting! I also use Norton Antivirus, with a May 2 updated definition file and a Full System Scan this afternoon. A mystery to me! No virus noted here when I open that page.

n99gt...I concur. I completed a Norton scan of 106,350 files and confirmed an updated virus definition and found no infection.

Who knows what Symatec detected when I downloaded the link? After all, stealth is the nature of a Trojan Horse, i.e. it's not what it appears to be...could be harmless or insidious.

At any rate, it appears that I don't have any Greeks in the belly of a giant horse or perhaps the gates of Troy (aka firewall) remain closed...the residents of the city can sleep well tonight. Helen will have to wait another day for rescue!
