I just got my 04 XLT tuesday and the stock mats suck, I'm looking for something that is rubber or vinyl and has a lip (I deal with a lot of snow and slush in the winter and if it dosn't have a lip I can't use it). Should i get with catch-all extremes or the huskys (hard to tell if the husky's have a lip). Thanks.

The stock mats in the newer buit FX4 and all other 150's do SUCK. I feel your pain, live near Niagara Falls, NY as well Mr. Rochester and know how much wet stuff we get around here. Looks like Ford wants us to pony up more $ and buy their optional mats or aftermarket brands. I thought the dealer was joking when I saw the mats on my in the showroom FX4, loaded to the gills. They were not joking, and do not have a clue about these diamond plate looking mats. Does it seem right that the customer know more about their product than the salesman?

No, but that's usually the way it is. I know it sure as h*ll was in my case. I should be a car salesman but I don't like people...

Thumbs up

Thayer,

Looks like you have a great truck coming! Enjoy, the new F150 is an incredible machine, regardless of the mats.

Hats off to you, and thank you for protecting our freedom and our way of life here in the states!

bigsherm77 has been the spokesman for the catch-alls from day one! he doesn't stop! lol. but aparently they are pretty kick *** floormats so he has a reason to be proud.

For those who do have the Diamond Plate floor mats, we all may be getting new ones at some point. I was cleaning the inside of my FX4 this past weekend and the spot where my heel pivots when I drive is wearing down. The pattern is flattening out and an indent is forming. It could be my size 13's or it could be cheap rubber.
