Question FX4 Diamond plate floor mats in 2004?

I just purchased a brand new FX4 and it doesn't have the diamond plate floor mats shown in the Ford brochure. Dealer says they don't exist and can't get them. Anyone know where I can get the factory OEM mats? Ones I have are the think and chunky ones with F150 on side. Looks terrible in my new ride, plus they are small.

It might be worth it to get a set of catch-alls. Nifty and Husky make some good ones and I think the Husky's have a diamond pattern. I have pics of the Nifty Extremes in my gallery below in the Mods section.

Yopur Dealer is obvously full of s***. Because I have the dimond plate ones in my truck. You could try and go over his head and get the proper mats that should have come with your truck.

It looks like they actually exist. Dealer says they were in pre-production only. What? They were happy to take my money, now where's my mats that were suppose to come with the truck!! Ha! Anyone has a set that they want to get rid of, just let me know in case the dealer can't do anything.

There was another thread about the change in FX4 floormats a couple of weeks ago:
Factory FX4 floormats

It seems that Ford changed the style of mats in the FX4 somewhere along the line, possibly when Job 2 production began.

Boy, that sucks. Them are UGLY!

Mine has build date 8/03 and came with the diamond plate ones that match the sill panel.

I often jump in my truck after just slugging through some of worst mud imaginable with waders on. Those little stock mats kept everything in order after one duck season. I was surprised they did so well.

What did they change them to? I have the diamond plate ones. They didn't make them carpet, did they?

Yeah, that's the crap they put in my truck. No offense of course, but such attention to great design and detail, has been lost in the mats. Looks like Ford quit putting the diamond plate mats in later production. What for, I can't imagine. Must be money though.

SBaileyFX4,

I just ordered a set of Huskyliners for the front and back of my supercab. I was planning on putting the factory ones on ebay. They'll be 2 mos old by the time my liners come in. Purchased my truck 3/25/04 and it came with the diamond plate style front/back 4pc set. I'm located in the panhandle of Florida 32542. Just shoot me an e-mail if you're interested. BTW my truck was built 11/03.

Eeeww. Well...glad I bought when I did. Those look very generic. In fact, they look like the rubber ones I bought for my wife's Pathfinder. Especially the rear ones. I wonder if there is this one company out there who makes generic rubber floor mats for several car companies?

The Lariat mats have been crap from the start. I guess they have to cut corners somewhere, thank goodness for aftermarket mats.

I have a full set of diamond plate mats from my FX4 with 2 weeks on them sitting in my garage.

I hate rubber mats and ordered the factory black carpeted mats when I bought the truck.

High bidder gets them - you pay shipping.

When I bought my truck I went and bought some of those huskyliners for my lariat screw and I love them. They have the diamond plate design and they match my interior perfectly. They hit me for $60.

I have the Lloyd's Rubbertite custom mats in my screw. They are good in the front and EXCELLENT in the rear. The rear mats have the best coverage I have ever seen for an aftermarket mat!
