2004 Roush @ local dealer
2004 Roush @ local dealer
Looking at the new '04s the other day and saw a Roush scab 2wd. It looked awesome. All black with a ram air hood, 20" rims, split rear duals, and some body molding I believe. The sticker on it was $31,000 and change. The truck had just been unloaded off the carrier so it hadn't been prepped or anything so I couldn't get inside or pop the hood, so I didn't know what had been done to the engine. There was no literature about the roush stuff on it either. Of course, the salesman was a COMPLETE moron and couldn't tell me a damn thing about it (actually, he couldn't tell me a damn thing about ANY truck on the lot
) I came back today to look at it and since it's Sunday there were no salesmen (thank God
) Now after being prepped it has an extra $10,000 tacked on for the Roush stuff. But I still don't know what's been done to the engine. The Roush website is screwed up and I can't get any info on their f150s. Makes me wonder because the black '04 Lightning they had there had an extra $5,000 tacked onto the $33,000 sticker for "SVO Charge". Earlier I got the dealer to confess that that $5,000 is just sucker money and the only reason they put that on there is because some people actually pay it. He also confessed that anyone could offer invoice for that truck and drive away with it, about $29,000
I guess car dealers gotta eat too

Yes, "car dealers gotta eat" (or else there would be no outlets for vehicular sales), but salespersons are only a necessity if you believe in spreading YOUR wealth around via commssions. That's why I pay below invoice buying via a Fleet Manager.
