Lariat with shortbed can also work...

Here she blows with 27 bales, earlier in the day she was filled with cow crap compost.

Lariat with 5.5 ft bed; might look wimpy but still works like a truck.

No, I did not go on the highway with this setup, just a mile or so on a country road.

justsomeguy3116,

That's great.
It makes a fine lookin' hay wagon!
Good to see it getting the job done.

Yup, working great, now I just hope the AC can handle the 100 degree summers. Based on other posts, this may be a serious concern.

Johnandar, you report to Ford, right, any hope the AC in this thing actually works?

I have no affiliation with Ford (I used to work for Ford Credit), other than being a stockholder. I haven't had the opportunity/need to use the A/C in my truck yet, but I'm curious to see how it does after reading many of the recent posts about it. I've forgotten what hot weather feels like

Sorry John, got you confused with some guy who actually reads these boards for Ford. I think it is good they do that, as they will certainly find out about any issues quickly.

St. Louis has a kind of oppressive heat that is just unbelieveable in August. Keeping my fingers crossed for good AC.

AC Problem?

Took delivery of my truck in late September 03 and had some of those hot humid days here in Virginia and the AC worked great!!!

That looks good, I like that short bed look on there. The only problem I have with that is you can't lay an 8' 2x4 corner-ro-corner with the tailgate up.

It's good to see a pickup actually do some real work.

We've had some 90+ days here already and the AC is ice cold. First time I used it it took about 15 minutes or so before it got cold, and some F150Online paranoia had me a little worried. I just let it run though and eventually it got cold enough to make my wife start bitching about it.
