I'm VERY happy. No problems so far...1,800 miles. I have a slight whistle from the front above 50mph, there's a tsb related to it. Dealer said he had someone come in and the cowl was a little loose. I'll check that this afternoon. It's that plastic piece between the windshield and hood.
You seem really pleased with your Advance Cover eh? I was looking at a Retrax/Roll'n'Lock before, but it doesn't seem as waterproof as i'd like, the canister takes forever to remove if you needed to, and it's quite costly.
The advance cover seems to fit me better, being: it's hard, lockable, weathertight, and can be folded to load something tall in the bed. My concern comes with the attachment and such. Like the weather strips, could you sit or stand on them without damaging them? What if you had a pop-up tie down in the stake pocket and a tie down strap on it, could the strap rip off the weatherstrip. And looking at the hardware details the latch catches that secure to the bed seem real long. Do you think they could be cut down?
I really like it, I just need some reassuring.

It appears to be watertight so far...no problems at all with water for me.
The seals on the bed rail might be a little fragile if you have a need to stand on them or move things across them. There is the outer seal that is really more of a hard rubber resting place for the cover...and then there are regular seals on the inside of that, and those are what I'd be concerned about. But then again, from looking at it, it looks like you could buy replacement seals somewhere that would be a good match to what comes with the cover. So I personally am not too concerned about the seals.
The stake holes are somewhat covered on mine. I didn't think I'd ever need them since i can tie things down with the tie down things in the bed. Kcovers.com says you can trim the seals so you can still use the stake holes. I haven't looked at that very much to see how easy or difficult it would be. I can't imagine it being a big deal as long as there's enough seal left to seal properly...and they said you could do it.
You could easily cut down the front and rear latches once you figure out where you need to place them. The center latches are tiny.

Lookin' good! I've also been contemplating the Advance Cover.

Doesn't take up room in the bed like the Retrax, etc. (more important to me because of the already short bed on the Screws)
You can quickly and easily carry a tall object (that my wife bought at the antique flea market)
It looks like it's solid enough to support the 18" of wet snow that's going to collect on it sooner or later
Dislikes:
Still, pretty costly - anyone found a good discount source?
Wish it were a bit more "low profile'. The new beds are plenty tall already.

It's still very low profile. You can hardly tell it's there unless you're high enough to know there's something on the bed. Look at the farther away shots and see what you think...it's hard to tell it's there: https://www.f150online.com/galleries...w.cfm?num=5556
I haven't seen it anywhere cheaper than kcovers.com The only thing I see cheaper out there are the soft covers. This looks to be the most affordable hard cover out there. It'll definitely hold 18" of snow.

I have the advance cover on my screw ..... I love it because of all the reasons you guys have mentioned ... it is very low profile, check my pics.
a note on the weatherstrips: I already got rid of the one that seals the rear lid with the tailgate... when it was hot outside (~90 degrees) it actually sticked to the cover and ripped while opening.. so I got rid of it. the lid itself has one so it makes it water tight.
I bought it from this website at about 540 shipped to my house.

it took like 2-3 weeks but its worth every penny ....

Mine arrived in 2 days! I imagine IzInBloom would get it in 2 days or less since it ships from MI. I was near Cincinnati and I took the commercial delivery option to my place of work.
