Has the vibration issue be resolved on Job 2 models?

Have any of you that have a Job 2 '04 F150 experienced the vibration issue that has plagued the 04 model? I have been seeing more Job 2 models on the dealer lots and I was curious to see if the problem has been fixed.

In order to arrive at an answer, perhaps 'vibration' needs a little more definition, this is, which vibration and where? Since last fall, threads here have reported vibes, shakes, bounces, buzzes, resonances, trembles, shudders, shimmys, quivers, chatters, and so on of tires, steering wheels, pedals, trannys, beds, floorboards, driveshafts, and others parts. Some of these issues go away when neutral is engaged, speed up, slow down, turn left or right, etc. etc. Is anybody confused yet...if you're a service manager, hold up your hand.

I'm with david in understanding this one.

Regardless of what type of "vibration" it is apparently not supposed to be there. So, with the Job 2 orders, have they fixed any and/or all the vibrations that should not be occuring? I think that is what he is trying to ask here. I, too, would like to know as mine is a Job 2 order that should be getting built next Monday.

Mine was built in 01/04. Not sure if that's "job 2" or not but I've experienced no noticeable vibration or shimmy.

BTW, is mine job 2?

There are thousands of Job 1 trucks that don't have any vibrations.

I thought that Ford's motto was "Quality is Job 1" but “Quality is Job 2” is more like it.

It sounds like Ford has addressed many of the issues in Job 2. Thanks for the posts.

I also posted this in the "Hard Left Turn, Rear End Shimmy" post, but I think it applies here also.

I have a truck built in 1/04 and have the vibration issue at 40-55mph. Took my truck in for the second time this morning. The first time I took it in, they did a road force balance and took care of a vibration problem at 70+mph.
They just called me back a couple of minutes ago and said that both passenger side tires had small splits in the steel belts. For the record, I have the standard BFG A/T tires that come on the Lariet.
It's going to take 2 weeks to get replacements in. The service guy told me that there were no safty concerns, just have to live with the vibration until the new tires come in. He seemed almost positive that this was the problem. Also, he did a check on the vibration kit and clutch pack and said that since my truck was a late model, these problems should have already been addressed.

I wonder if I'm the only one with a tire problem like this??
Anyone out there with any comments?

If your vibration stays when you coast in neutral, then there is a good chance it could be the skins...
My vib goes away in neutral and coasts as smooth as silk....put it back in gear and vvvvvvibration.

The service manager and GM have taken my truck for a drive, both feel it...both don't like it.
I just have to find the time to bring the truck in so it can be looked at.

Mine was built 02/05/04
