Red face Rear Door stuck

Hello all.. I have had the new truck for 2 days not and have yet to take it to work! First day was in the shop for LineX. Today it is in the shop for a problem with the rear passenger door.

details on the door... The right rear door started out having issues with the Child Saftey lock no disengaging. This problem led to the door not latching when you closed it. Well I got it to latch.. now it won't open!!!
Sent the wife in to the dealer with it and they are investigating! Put her in a new Mustang loaner (I knew I should have taken it in)

Anyone else had or heard of this issue?

I still love the truck.. and I don't sit in the back anyway!

Yes the same exact thing happened to me. It was also my second day with the truck. I just pulled on the lock and got it to disengage. Please let me know what the dealer says. I haven't taken mine in yet.

Same here. I can open it from the outside but sometimes the door won't open from the inside. I looked at the door lock when I locked and unlocked the door. It looks as if the lock "****" is not going all the way up everytime. I tried toggling the lock and eventually the lock "****" goes all the way up. I made sure the child lock was off. I was wondering whether anyone else had this problem. I'm going to get the dealer to take a look at this on my free oil change.

Great truck, 3000 miles so far. I can deal with a quirk like this, but I still want to get it fixed while under warranty.

Sthorn, Please let us know what the dealer says

Dealer is still looking at this issue but is leaning towards replacing the lock assembly. Not sure yet as has been several hours without an update.

My problems mimic yours.. with the addition that I ultimately could not Open the door at all. (after finally getting it to latch)

I noticed the same thing on the lock not coming up all the way.

There is a TSB for this listed on the NHTSA link (Recalls & TSB's). I would consider that a good thing because you know Ford knows about the problem and should have a fix for you.

Funny.. someone lese said the same thing... I told em they had power envy.. course they drove a Tundra! so it's just real truck envy!

Seriously.. dealer has order an entire new lock assembly for the rear door.

Fordcountry.. thanks for the tip on the TSB.. I checked it and notified the service department. They were unaware of it but recognized the problem.

sthron and Zoltan.. I'd at lest call your dealer on it. They will most likely have to order the part. Takes a day to get.
I am praying to be in the truck for good tomorrow after work!
