Thumbs down

i'm also a new ford truck owner-no major problems like limp/home except the a/c seems kinda weak and i'm watching that. but this whole thing about total unpredictability of transportation from a brand new truck is totally mind-boggling and really scary not to mention the absolute frustration of time consuming dealer relations. with such a vast array of electronic control systems, each with the possibility of disabling the vehicle anywhere, at anytime. it seems that a new and highly expensive vehicle can become a very risky mode of transportation. and, it seems that with the absolute complexity of these systems there can never be an end to the question of: what is going to happen next or do you think this new pos will make it home from the sunday drive. i am already asking my foolish self -why did i let myself become a victim of this insane predicament. the old '79 plymouth volare i traded in was less than perfect but rode a lot better than this new truck , was cheap to own in every way and i didn't worry with anything about it. now i taking good care of a new truck that might not start tomorrow or quit in the middle of the road, while i'm looking for a tow. (not to mention the extreme cost or worry what the weather can do to it) am i stupid or what?

So just to be sure... Ther is nothing wrong with your truck. Your just upset that something might go wrong?

I think this was a problem with the early build of the truck (as you can tell most of these posts where in feb). I think youll be OK and have a slight case of buyers remorse.

WOW i bought a 97 in 96 and i was soooooooo worried about problems with the new style truck. After reading all these posts and others i will be sticking with my 97 for some time.

97 f-150 4x4 reg cab 5-speed 4.6 101,000 miles and never even a blip on the screen. I am blessed. I wish you guys all the luck with your trucks and hopefully ford will sort these problems out.
