Green Filter,green Filter...green Filter
I just installed a new drop in air filter for my 2004 FX4.It`s a hi-flow filter by Green high performance air filters.I ordered it from www.driverfx.com for $78.28 total.I can notice a dif. in power and sound from this quick and easy mod.Has anyone else tried one of these yet?

I've got a 9" K&N conical filter on my 5.4L that I gave $45 for, and I thought that was steep. Are these green filters made with gold stand or something?-Mike-

Why did you get the "green filter" over the Airaid filter? The Airaid filter is $38 from truckaddons.com,truckperformance.com, and $40 from carolinaclassictrucks.com. I don't work for any of these guys by the way. My question is have you been told that the greenie is better than the blue one?? By the way K&N does not have a filter for the 2004 F150 "new body style."
Im not so sure im really sold on how much performance you get from installing an aftermarket filter. I put in a K&N on my last truck
(01 F-150 XLT 4.2), and didn't really feel any difference, but i did like the fact that i would not have to replace it.
I was mad that i forgot to take it out before i bought my
04 F150 XLT 4.6 Supercab, is it really true that the filters from these 2 trucks are different???

My Lariat has the 5.4 with the new slide in flat filter. Open your hood and take a look where your filter housing is; if it's like the 5.4 the housing is at the back of the engine bay with two latches that secure the filter in place. If that is the case, quit crying :=) about the cone filter you let get away, 'cause it would be tough to jam it in the new filter housing.

YES THIS IS A LIFTIME FILTER !
