What I am thinks is getting my hands on a FX4 Grillle with a red surround and getting the insert painted to match.
I saw a bliiet insert that fits between the bars of the FX4 grill that would really go well with that.

I was thinking about getting the bar insert painted as well - I think it would look pretty sharp with my black/tan two tone if it were painted beige. Do you think that is something we could do ourselves or would you have a body shop do it?

Wolfman064,
As the grill is easily removed so you don't have to worry about overspray getting on other parts of the truck, it might be worth trying to paint on your own. I know that King Ranch owners have painted different accessories to match the beige on their trucks.
Check out MikeF150s posts in this thread:
https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=144445 Here he's talking about how he painted his mud flaps for his King Ranch...you could probably follow the same steps he listed. It sounds like http://www.paintscratch.com does a pretty good job of matching factory colors, and you can get the flex additive. Going this route would probably save you a few bucks over taking it to a body shop to paint.

After you get the new black bar grill on, take a good pic of the front end and post it. Maybe someone with PhotoShop would be nice enough to alter the photo to see what your truck would look like with the bars painted (just a thought as I was typing).

John
