Angry You Won't Believe!

By the time I am done I will deserve some kindof award for patients. My dealer called and told me that my truck would not be built until the week of Febr. 2nd and I would not have it until about the 20th so that means approx 20 to 21 weeks of waiting.
needless to say I told them I was ticked. and would receive more free stuff for my truck. He said we would talk and said I was done talking!

Thanks for listening while I vent lol

Seriously,
A 21 week wait needs some explaining. Ask them how long it's been unscheduled/clean and what priority they gave your truck. Some people have waited five weeks, and a long wait is 12, so something is seriously wrong here.

!!!!INEXCUSABLE!!!!

I have been reading your posts over the last several weeks and my heart goes out to you. Come to Georgia and let Mall of Georgia Ford order it for you. 3 1/2 weeks for me, but I am the exception it seems. Tell them to shove that truck where the sun don't shine when it comes in!!!

I'll let you drive mine for a couple of days if you want...just to get your fix!

I always say that it will be worth it when it comes in, but in your case...I don't know!

Is this a smaller dealership you're dealing with? Dealers are allocated a certain amount of vehicles they can order for a given time period. The more they sell, the more they can order, or so I've been told. Makes sense I guess. Ford wants to make sure dealers that sell the hell out of a truck gets as many as they need. If you've been waiting that long, there's a possibility that the dealer you ordered from just isn't allowed to have any more F-150's until the next go round. I thought it was per quarter (every 3 months). Kinda doesn't make much sense though with you waiting this long. Seems like the allocation issue would have been not an issue by now. Either way, I'd be fuming at this stage. There's no reason at all an order should take that long. The bad thing is, if you place an order at another dealer now, it will take at least another 4 weeks to get the truck even IF the order goes right through and you get it really fast. I feel for ya. That really sucks.

What dealership are you going through? I may be ordering mine via a dealer in Omaha (I think it starts with an "S" but can't remember, friend of a friend deal) but don't want to wait that long!

I've had mine on order from Woodhouse in Nebraska for 10 weeks, and they are the Largest F series dealer in the united states. Keeps giving me the factory shut down for 2 weeks excuse every time I call and complain. Would have been nice to have today with 12 inches of snow on the ground.

And I thought my 12 wks was a long time. 22 wks is unbelievable
I was depressed and complaining because my truck has been sitting in the trainyard in Kansas City for a week, but now, after reading that, I am counting my blessings.
I was actually contemplating the 4 hour drive down to take a look at it.

woodhouse

that is where I ordered mt truck woodhouse ford Blair nebraska.
get this I checked there lot to see what they had the other day
they had over 70 supercrews alone on there lot. All except mine
and they are suppose to be the largest. I can understand 2 weeks for christmas vacation. Also 2 weeks for running boards but still that leaves 18 weeks where the **** is my truck.
I wouldn't buy anything but a ford but I am so upset and my husband does not understand it. I LOVE CARS AND TRUCKS.
LIKE MY PETS THEY ARE MY BABIES. And to top it off I have to go to denver and wanted to take my new truck. haha and they told me they would drive it down here for me. I said fat chance like even my husband won't drive it for the first month. lol
oh well thanks for all your responses. I do appreciate the support
thank god I already have a ford that will do just fine but what if I had a dodge? Big trouble!!! just kidding lol

thanks Sheryl
P.S. I have a 71/2 to 8 hour drive!

I live in Omaha. Woodhouse truly is an awesome place to purchase a Ford truck. I bought my '03 Lightning from them. I would have bought my '04 from them, but I had a friend who started working for this other dealership and I wanted to help him out. I regret that since the dealership has no sense when it comes to customer service. I got in such a huge arguement with the manager about taking off the aftermarket parts on my Lightning that he said to take them and that our business was done, meaning to never come back to the dealership for business. Anyways, I didn't want to wait for my truck either so I found one with all the options I wanted in Denver and had it driven to Omaha by my salesman. It was a good deal, but I hated the fact they put on 600 miles before I even got to see the truck.
