Only 1300 miles and already have had the wrench icon light up last night. It was gone today but now the service engine light is on. I went through the 3 revolutions recommended in the manual but it's still on. So now I have to take it to the dealer. What bull****.
I had the same thing happen on my 01 screw and they said it was a bad sensor. You would hope that they would have straightened that out by now. Hopefully it's nothing more serious. Has anyone else had this happen with so little mileage?

Its gonna reset your clock, radio settings and stuff, but reset the ECU before you take it in.
Disconnect the battery for 60 seconds and then reconnect it.
This happened once in my '96 EB Bronco after some high speed driving but my (really good) dealer said to do this first.
Remember, the ECU will have to re-learn your driving parameters (altitude, temp, etc...) but that only takes 15 - 20 minutes of driving.

Doing that (disconnecting your battery) is the WORST thing you can do at this point. Right now since the lamp has came on it has a code in its memory so that even if the lamp goes out the tech can pull the code and see what happened in history and fix the problem....
If you unplug the battery and erase all that information the tech has nothing but your word to go by and what happens if your lamp does not come on for months then you'll really be mad.
This isnt a toy that if its not right you slap it against the refridgerator and change the batteries.. no offence to blitzkrieg..
If it was out of warranty or something I can see trying things yourself.
If you erase the code the tech will no problem found your truck.
it could be something very very simple
if they make 100,000 parts and it if there is a failure rate of 1% that 1,000 part which one of which could be in your truck and the dealer will fix.. (just making a point not facts)
