I saw those auctions, he had 2 different FX4 grills up for auction. $10 like you said. It was just for the grill insert, not the surround also. It would work though, just keep your surround & swap the grill inserts.

I too have been considering a FX grill on my black lariat. I am concerned about the how it will look with the chrome bumper. Does anyone have a pic?

I have studied the grill on the Lariat and it has a chrome trim and a tan eggcrate grill. Problem is that with a black truck, nothing matches the tan. I would really like to put a black FX grill in it, yet keep my chrome trim around the edges. I believe that the grills just bolt on the hood, but does anyone know if you can take the grills apart and put a black FX on a Lariat while keeping the chrome trim which matches my front bumper?

pa_wolf, what grill did you order? You dont happen to have a part number?

Just order one for an XL it has the same insert as the FX4 but has a chrome surround.

I thought I ordered a Fx4 gril but when it came in it was an XLT grill insert.

But all is well I just changed out the insert with my original one. I had the part number some where but have since missplaced it. Sorry. I will look for it, and if I find it I will post it here. You should be able to get any numbers you need from your dealers parts people.
