Cruise Control Works Great

I am extremly impressed by the cruise control.

Set it on 60 and go 60. Not 59. Not 61.

You can even increase / decrease speed in 1mph increments.

In my 94, I had to press set at 63 to go 60.

This is just one of the benifits with fly-by-wire controls being used for throttle.

Yeah it's great except when I go down a hill. I gotta use the breaks to slow it down. Never had the problem with any other cruise but I've never had a Ford before. I just assumed it was the way it worked. Is this an issue with my truck or is this just the way it is?

Heh, my 04 STi has an electronic throttle and it only varies by 30 rpm once set on cruise. Then again its easier to hold a rpm setting when you are so deep into the powerband. Lol 3K freeway revs.

I hope the F150 I have on order is just as good.

Breser, mine is the same way, with the cruise control not slowing down on a hill. I noticed it going down the hill behind Snoqualmie Falls yesterday.

Looks like you're just down the road from me.

I love the cruise control. I use it everywhere I can. I've never had a vehicle with cruise control but now I can't live wihtout it. My feet would get tired on long trips in my old Volvo. Not anymore. Just one more thing I love about my 04. Also, you can accelerate all the way up to speed by holding down the "set" button. I use that all the time to speed up. The 1 MPH increments are cool and it is nice to be able to push a button and jump up quickly. I suppose I could use the pedels, but that's too much work.
