what does that light flashing do anyways ?

reason i ask we have been getting snow here all day and windshield is covered up again with about a inch of snow and that red flashing light is magnified and looks like a flashing cop light in the window now hehe

Its supposed to let you know that their passive security system is active, meaning the vehicle can't be started without one of the special keys. That's what the manual said, anyway. Personally, I think its just supposed to make it LOOK like it has an alarm. Its probably a decent deterrent, I'd guess.

I didn`t know that ..very interesting

funny thing is its canadian truck so it has daytime running lights (but thats just the fronts nor parking lights )well this morning at bout 10:00 am it was really snowing hard truck was covered in about a inch of snow also .
and i was very dissapointed that the lights didn`t come on with the autolamp setting so i switched to parking lights setting so i would have parking lights and tails lite .

then at about 4:00 snow has turned to rain you know the type of day real grey outside driving in the autolight setting and the lights came on dashlights so on .

anyways i felt that in the snow was more dangerous than the rain

so i`m not sure this autolight setting is the cure all but if that red light is the sensor maybe just throw a cloth over it and all light will be lite interesting

yeah. Canadia (no that is not a typo, it is C-A-N-A-D-I-A ) is a weird place. But I must say, they are really nice people up there. I've never met a person from Canadia I didn't like. I've never met Tom Green otherwise the last sentance would be false, eh...
